For this two weeks, our farm started picking pitches. Even I work for
mango trees' manager, I still have to help. But in fact, I really
need more working hours to keep more money.
For mango team, most of them want to work on the weekend for coming
up Xmas holiday, at this week days, they keep asking me about
overtime working on weekend. But we can't. My manager Dave told me
that we already running out the budge of pruning on June this year.
That's why we can't work on the weekend and also we are ahead the
scheduler right now. So we don't need to work on weekend. But I still
been asked to go to work. I think it just because Joyce have to work,
and they think I'm good worker who really do help for them.
In Australia or western culture, if you really try very hard, and
really do help, they always look after you. Now i really feel about
that.
by the way, because of my manager's wife is going to have baby, next
3 week he won't come to work. for me, it means I'll be in charge all
mango team that will be organize 7 people thousands of mango trees,
wind break trees, irrigation, weeding and also means I'll get more
pay. Another challenge just coming up.
